Well, if there are 40 or more of you, and you are happy with "bed and breakfasts" or one star hotels without dinners included, then the individual cost will be quite low. On the other hand, if you wish to travel on your own, only accepting three or four star hotels and wish to sample the best of the local cuisine, then I presume that you are comfortably off and I look forward to meeting you. Most of the calculations are based on common sense. The more of you, the lower the individual cost. August is more expensive than February. Suburbs are cheaper than city centres. Cities are more expensive than the countryside (London in particular is horrendously priced.). England tends to cost more than France and Italy is somewhere in between. (Not geographically but you understood that.) Oh yes, and exchange rates change all the time.
